dc.description.abstractWe consider arrays of highly ordered parallel identical carbon nanotubes (nanoforests) and their electronic spectra in comparison with those for isolated nanotubes. The obtained modification of nanotube spectra by inter-tube interactions is analyzed to conclude about differences in impurity effects on such nanoforests compared to those in the previously studied carbon nanosystems. In particular, the possibilities for enhanced sensitivity controls on nanoforests longitudinal conductance are discussed.
