Анотація

Abstract: We present the exact analytic expressions for the zero-temperature current in the “left electrode–molecular contact–right electrode” systems (LCR), where the role of contact is played by conjugated oligomers of polyparaphenylene (PPP) and polynaphthalene (PN). On the basis of the tight-binding formalism and Green’s function technique, we derive and analyze the dependences of the current on the parameters of LCR (Fermi energy E_F of the electrodes and contact, the number of monomers N, and the coupling parameter γ characterizing the coupling between the contact and electrodes) and the potential difference eV between the left and right electrodes. The PPP and PN oligomers are regarded as building blocks for the armchair and chiral (2 m, m) graphene nanoribbons.
